What is an Advanced Board Certified Ocularist?
An American Board of Ocularisty Advanced Certified Ocularist (ACO)is a person who has met the basic educational requirement of a four year degree or equivalent, has shown competence in the field of ocularistry and has passed an exam on the aspects of advanced practice in ocularistry. American Board of Ocularistry Advanced Certified Ocularists are also required to maintain their competence in the field through Continuing Ocularist Education.
